| Katerina teaches private lessons in flamenco dance (baile flamenco) at her home studio at 721 Mound Avenue in South Pasadena.
Private lessons are available Monday and Thursday from 9am to 8pm, Tuesday and Wednesday from 10am-6pm, and Friday from 9am-2pm. All private classes are subject to availability. To schedule classes call Katerina at (626) 403-7489 or send an e-mail: katerinatomas@sbcglobal.net

Katerina is currently teaching private dance classes in: Flamenco dance and techniques: arms, hands, footwork/heelwork, body work, palmas, rhythms, and turns. Spanish classical and neo-classical dance. Specialized techniques, including castanets, long trained skirt - bata de cola; fan work - abanico, and shawl work - mantón. And in the following flamenco forms, palos:

IN SIX MONTHS, FROM SEPTEMBER 23rd until the beginning of April 2009, we will learn the following: Technique Classes: Braceo (arms), footwork, palmas, body postures, turns, rhythms for 4, 6 and 12 count songs, and Estilo Gitano - Gypsy flamenco dance style. Choreographies: TANGOS GITANO - a beautiful, lively song and dance featuring great movement and footwork. SOLEARES & BULERIAS DE JEREZ - A soulful, elegant and powerful song and dance, the Soleares is the foundational rhythm and dance in flamenco. Bulerías is A WONDERFUL GYPSY FLAMENCO DANCE featuring great footwork, turns, style and choreography. Learn the structure, choreography and style of this magnificent piece SEVILLANAS - LEARN all four verses of this beautiful partner dance. Please bring castanets to class.
